The Wake Forest Demon Deacons visit Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, South Carolina on Sunday for an ACC tilt with the Clemson Tigers. The Demon Deacons fell to 8-12 overall and 1-7 in the ACC following an 82-54 loss to Louisville. Wake trailed by 23 points at the half and never threatened after intermission. Brandon Childress led the Demon Deacons in the loss with 13 points.
Clemson improved to 12-8 overall and 2-5 in the ACC following its 82-69 win over Pittsburgh. Marcquise Reed led the Tigers in the victory with 26 points. Clemson led 51-23 at the half and although Pittsburgh closed the gap to 13 points the Tigers were never threatened during the second half.
Brandon Childress leads the Demon Deacons in scoring and assists with averages of 15.9 points and 4.2 assists per game. Jaylen Hoard is the second leading scorer and leader in rebounds with averages of 14.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. Wake Forest is shooting 40.7% from the field and 30.3% from 3-point territory.
Marcquise Reed is the leading scorer and second leading rebounder for the Tigers with an average of 19.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Reed is the team leader in assists with an average of 3.2 per game. The leading rebounder is Elijah Thomas with an average of 7.7 per game. Clemson is shooting 46.9% from the field and 32.0% from 3-point territory.
