The Northeast Conference Tournament final will take place Tuesday night in Smithfield, RI as the Wagner Seahawks take on the Bryant Bulldogs. Wagner comes into the championship game 21-5 on the year riding a two game win streak following a 20 point win over Long Island in the semifinals. Offensively Wagner was dominant making 49.2% of their shots and 36.4% from beyond the arc to score 82 total points in 40 minutes.
Alex Morales led the way for Wagner scoring 19 points on seven of 17 shooting in 38 minutes on the floor. DeLonnie Hunt added 17 points and Zaire Williams chipped in 10 points to lead the way in 21 minutes off the bench.
The Bryant Bulldogs have been the number one team in this conference all season and come into the championship game on a six game win streak following a one point win in the semis. Offensively Bryant did just enough making 38.5% of their shots to score 70 points in the victory. Charles Pride carried Bryant pushing a team high 24 points in 39 minutes on the floor.
Offensively this season Bryant has been one of the top teams in the conference scoring 78.2 points per game on 43.6% shooting. Peter Kiss leads the Bryant offense averaging 24.7 points per game on 45.1% shooting. Charles Pride is second on the team averaging 18.2 points to go along with a team leading 8.3 rebounds per game.
