The Virginia Tech Hokies take a road trip up north Wednesday night to Syracuse, NY for an ACC matchup against Syracuse. Syracuse will go back home Wednesday night four games above .500 following a seven point loss against Virginia. Offensively Syracuse did shoot the ball well against Virginia making 44.4% of their shots and 57.1% from beyond the arc but made just 66% from the free throw line and turned the ball over 16 times resulting in the loss. Defensively Syracuse struggled as Virginia scored 73 total points on 43.4% shooting in 46.2% from beyond the arc.

Joseph Girard III leads the Syracuse offense this season averaging 16.8 points despite shooting only 39.6% from the floor.
