The Virginia Tech Hokies will continue their quest in the ACC tournament Thursday night following a one point overtime win against Clemson on Wednesday. Offensively Virginia Tech did just enough making 47.3% of their shots and 42.9% from beyond the arc score 76 points including ten points in the overtime.
Keve Aluma carried the Virginia Tech offense scoring 19 points to go along with ten rebounds in 34 minutes of the floor. Storm Murphy scored 15 points in 33 minutes and David N’Guessan added nine points to lead the way off the bench.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish play their first game of the conference tournament after finishing one game back of the conference lead this season. Notre Dame obliterated Pittsburgh 78-54 in the final game of the year after the fighting Irish shot 56.3% from the floor and 58.3% from beyond the arc.
Offensively this season Notre Dame has been a mediocre team averaging 72.3 points per game on 46% shooting from the floor. Blake Wesley leads the Notre Dame offense is one of four players averaging double figures scoring 14.8 points per game on 41.5% shooting. Dane Goodwin is second on the team scoring 14 points and Paul Atkinson Jr. chips in 12 points in a team high 7.1 rebounds.
