The Wednesday College Basketball schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Villanova Wildcats and Georgetown Hoyas from Capital One Arena. The 17th ranked Wildcats has won 11 of their 13 Big East Conference games and lead Marquette by a half-game for first place. On Sunday, Villanova surrendered a 14-point second half deficit during a 71-65 loss at St. John’s. The Wildcats turned the ball over 16 times and shot just 33 percent from the field.

Senior G Joe Cremo led Villanova with 14 points in 20 minutes off the bench. Phil Booth missed nine of his 11 field goal attempts and finished with 13 points for the Wildcats. The Georgetown Hoyas are two games below .500 in conference play for second year head coach Patrick Ewing. On Wednesday, Georgetown fell behind by 13 points during the first half of a 90-75 road loss against Seton Hall. The Hoyas were outrebounded by a 38-30 margin and shot 45 percent from the field.

Georgetown C Jessie Govan tallied a team high 20 points on 8-for-14 shooting and grabbed six rebounds. The rest of the starters combined to score 24 points on an 8-for-25 shooting performance.

Villanova became rattled during the second half of their loss on Sunday and play their next two games on the road. Earlier in the season, Georgetown shot just 34 percent from the field in a 77-65 loss at Villanova. Look for a similar outcome on Wednesday. Final Score Prediction, Villanova Wildcats win and cover ATS 79-70.
