Utah at USC 12/1/21 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

Off to a 5-1 start to the season, the Utah Utes travel to L.A. to battle the #20 USC Trojans in a Pac-12 conference battle. The Utes struggled to a 12-13 record last season and are looking to breakout this year.

Branden Carlson is the player to watch for the Utes and an underrated player nationally. The 7 footer is averaging 15.7 points and 7 rebounds per game this year. David Jenkins Jr. is an additional scoring threat for the Utes and is averaging 13.7 points per game. Rollie Worster rounds out the players to watch for the Utes and is averaging 9.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.

Off to a stellar 6-0 start and ranked 20th in the country, the USC Trojans do battle with the Utah Utes. The Trojans went 25-8 last season and made it all the way to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Tournament. Coach Andy Enfield is looking for more of the same this season.

Boogie Ellis is the leading scorer for the Trojans and is averaging 16.3 points per game. Chevez Goodwin is an additional player to watch for the Trojans and is averaging 13.2 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game. Isaiah Mobley has filled in admirably for younger brother Eric now with the Cleveland Cavaliers and is averaging 12.2 points and 9.2 rebounds per contest.

The Trojans are coming in scoring 4 points more per game, but also giving up 2 points less per game on defense. The shooting for the Trojans is coming in shooting at 4% better than the Utah team. The rebounding and passing is a little bit better than Utah in the game here. All of those factors combined make it easier to see the Trojans pull out the win in this game. Final Score Prediction, USC Trojans win but fail to cover 78-70.
