The UNLV Rebels visit Lawlor Events Center in Reno, Nevada on Tuesday to play the Nevada Wolf Pack. UNLV dropped two 6-8 overall and 3-4 in the Mountain West Conference following its 89-60 loss to Nevada on Sunday in the first of two meetings between the two over a period of three days. UNLV has lost two straight after winning five in a row.

Nevada improved to 11-7 overall and 6-5 in the Mountain West Conference with its victory on Sunday over UNLV. Desmond Cambridge Jr was the leading scorer for Nevada with 17 points and Grant Sherfield chipped in with 15 points in the victory over UNLV. Nevada shot 56% overall to easily win by 29 points.

Grant Sherfield is leading Nevada in scoring and assists with averages of 18.3 points and 5.8 assists per game, while Zane Meeks is the rebounder with an average of 5.9 per game. Nevada has two players averaging double-figures in scoring and as a team is shooting 44.4% overall and 34.4% from 3-point territory.

Nevada easily defeated UNLV on Sunday by 29 points and although the difference may not be that high on Tuesday, the Wolf Pack will win its second straight against UNLV. Nevada is allowing an average of just 67.4 points per game and opponents are shooting just 39.7% overall against the Wolf Pack defense, which is 33rd in the nation.
