The Boston College Eagles are ready to get out to a hot streak to start their 2014-2015 season. After beating New Hampshire 58-50 in the opener, they will now be hosting the Massachusetts Minutemen. Boston College is a talented team of young, gritty, defenders but they'll have to step things up a little bit to keep UMASS in check. Massachusetts is 1-0 on the year after posting a 95-87 win over the Siena Saints.
The Minutemen have made it part of their team culture thta they will score a lot of points, quickly. Even though they probably won't burst out for 95PPG the rest of the year they are still a threat to score 80+ with ease. Right now UMASS will rely on Trey Davis to get out there and create on offense. Davis leads the team with 28 points and 4 assists on the season. Davis is shooting lights out from beyond the arc and should continue to do so.

Boston College will have their hands full in trying to keep Massachusetts' shooters in check. Even if they do they'll still need to show that they can score some points on their own. Expect to see Aaron Brown put up at least 10 shots tomorrow night.

UMASS Minutemen -5.5

Last year we like the way this Boston College young team fought in every game but head to head with UMASS it has been one sided with Minutemen owning this series. UMASS have won last two years straight up and have won 6 straight ATS. Look for UMASS experience and size to be too much for young BC team. Final Score Prediction, UMASS Minutemen win 69-61.
