UConn at Tulane 3/8/20 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

The UConn Huskies hit the road for a clash with the Tulane Green Wave.  The Huskies are (18-12), coming off a 77-71 win over Houston.  The Green Wave are (12-17), after falling at home in OT to Memphis, 74-67.

In the Huskies win over Houston, UConn was guided throughout the game by Christian Vital.  Vital recorded 26 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals.  The Huskies shot 50% from the floor and 25% from 3-point distance.  UConn won the game, due to the foul line differential.  The Huskies out scored Houston from the foul line, 25 to 10.  The Huskies held Houston to 37% from the floor.

Vital has paced the Huskies this year, averaging 16 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.  James Bouknight has contributed 13.2 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.  UConn is recording 72.6 points per game, while converting on 41.9% from the floor.

In the Green Wave loss to Memphis, Tulane was led offensively by Christion Thompson.  Thompson registered 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.  Tulane did not shoot well from the floor, making just 28% from the floor, while hitting 12% from 3-point distance.  The Green Wave allowed Memphis to shoot 43% from the floor.  Tulane attempted 32 3-pointers in the game.

Teshaun Hightower is registering 16 points, 4.6 rebounds, ad 2.4 assists per contest for the Green Wave.  Thompson is averaging 13.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.  Tulane is collecting 68.1 points, while converting on 40.8% from the floor.

UConn is catching their stride as the regular season is coming to an end.  The Huskies have won 4 straight and 5 of their last 6.  Tulane has gone in the opposite direction, having last 8 of 10.  The Huskies have controlled this series, having won the last 8 matchups, by an average margin of 11 points.  The Huskies are 19-11 overall ATS and have more to play for then the Green Wave do at this point.  I'll side with the Huskies.  Final score prediction, UConn will win and cover ATS, 75-66.
