The UCLA Bruins visit Galen Center in Los Angeles, California on Saturday to play the USC Trojans in a Pac-12 showdown between cross-town rivals. The Bruins fell to 10-7 on the season following a 79-66 loss on the road to the Oregon State Beavers. UCLA was led in the loss by Kris Wilkes with 21 points.
USC lost its second straight and fell to 9-8 on the season following an 81-60 setback to Oregon. The Trojans were led by Juwan Mathews with 15 points in the loss. Oregon out rebounded the Trojans 35-24. USC has suspended its top freshman player Kevin Porter Jr. for an indefinite period because of personal conduct issues.
Kris Wilkes leads the Bruins in scoring with an average of 17.3 points per game. Freshman Moses Brown is second in scoring and is first in rebounding with averages of 11.9 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. The leader in assists is Jaylen Hands with an average of 6.6 per game. UCLA is shooting 46.0% from the field and 33.5% from 3-point territory.
Bennie Boatwright leads USC in scoring with an average of 17.1 points per game. Nick Rakocevic is the second leading scorer and leading rebounder with averages of 14.9 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. Derryck Thornton leads USC in assists with an average of 4.9 per game. USC is shooting 46.1% from the field and 36.1% from 3-point territory.
