The UCLA Bruins head to Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon on Thursday for a Pac-12 clash with the Oregon Ducks. The Bruins defeated the California Golden Bears 98-83 on Saturday to move to 9-6 on the season and 2-0 in the Pac-12. The Bruins have responded well to the change of head coaches with two straight wins. Kris Wilkes led the Bruins over the Bears with 18 points.
Oregon fell to 9-5 on the season following a 77-72 loss to Oregon State on Saturday. Louis King led the Ducks in the loss with 17 points and 10 rebounds. King was playing in just his seventh game of the season. Paul White scored 15 and Payton Pritchard 14 in the losing effort. Oregon has just eight scholarship players due to two injuries and one player deciding to transfer.
Kris Wilkes leads the Bruins in scoring with an average of 17.3 points per game. Freshman Moses Brown is second in scoring and is first in rebounding with averages of 11.3 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. The leader in assists is Jaylen Hands with an average of 6.9 per game. UCLA is shooting 46.1% from the field and 33.6% from 3-point territory.
With Bol Bol lost for the season, Payton Pritchard is the leading scorer and leader in assists with averages of 12.4 points and 4.6 assists per game. The leading rebounder is Kenny Wooten with an average of 4.9 per game. Oregon is shooting 45.2% from the field and 34.2% from 3-point territory.
