UCF at Houston 1/3/20 - NCAA Basketball Picks & Predictions

The UCF Knights visit Fertitta Center in Houston, Texas on Friday to face the Houston Cougars in an American Athletic Conference showdown. The Knights fell to 9-4 overall and 0-1 in AAC action following a 62-58 loss to the Temple Owls on Tuesday. Dre Fuller Jr. led the Knights with 14 points while Ceasar DeJesus chipped in with 12 points and six assists. This is the first time since 2015-16 UCF lost at home to Temple.

Collins Smith leads UCF in scoring with an average of 13.3 points per game. Dazon Ingram is the third leading scorer and leader in rebounds and assists with averages of 9.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. Ceasar DeJesus is second in scoring with an average of 10.5 points per game and is the only other UCF player besides Smith averaging double figures in scoring.

Houston improved to 10-3 following its 75-71 upset win over No. 21 ranked Washington in the Diamond Head Classic title game. The win was Houston’s fourth straight. Caleb Mills and Fabian White Jr. each scored 19 points pacing the Cougars in the win. Houston rallied from a deficit of as many as 14 points during the first half to beat the Huskies.

Quentin Grimes leads Houston in scoring with an average of 15.2 points per game. Nate Hinton is the leading rebounder for the Cougars with an average of 9.2 per game and is third in scoring with an average of 12.2 points per game. DeJon Jarreau is the leader in assists with an average of 3.4 per game.
