The Florida Atlantic Owls meet the UAB Blazers Thursday night in round two of the Conference USA championship. Florida Atlantic comes into Thursday night riding a four game win streak following a 27 point blowout win of Southern Miss in the first round of the tournament. Offensively Florida Atlantic dominated Southern Miss making 58.6% of their shots to score 86 total points including 51 in the second half of play.
Bryan Greenlee was the leading scorer for Florida Atlantic with 15 points on five of six shooting in 28 minutes on the floor. Vladslav Goldin added twelve points in 15 minutes and Giancarlo Rosado led the way off the bench with 11 points.
The UAB Blazers will play their first game of the conference tournament Thursday night riding a four game win streak that closed the season. UAB beat Louisiana Tech 87-74 in the final game of the regular season after shooting 56.1% from the floor and 47.6% from beyond the arc as a team.
Offensively the season UAB has been one of the best teams in the conference averaging 80 points per game or 46.8% shooting on the floor. Jordan Walker is one of three players averaging double figures for the Blazers posting a team high 19.3 points per game to go along with a team leading five assists. Quan Jackson chips in 11.7 points per game as well on 48.5% shooting from the floor.
