The SMU Mustangs will welcome the Tulane Green Wave to Dallas, TX Sunday afternoon for an American Athletic Conference matchup. Tulane sits at an even 13-13 on the year and currently 10-7 in the conference after a 15 point win over UCF ended a two game skid. Defensively Tulane controlled the game holding UCF to 37.1% shooting and forced 12 turnovers leading to the double digit win.
Offensively Tulane had one of their best games in recent memory scoring 82 points on 48.3% shooting from the floor. Jaylen Forbes led the Tulane offense scoring 16 points on 6 of 13 shooting in 35 minutes. Kevin Cross added 15 points and a team high 9 rebounds com a while RJ McGee chipped in 10 points in 24 minutes.
The SMU Mustangs will play their second consecutive home games Sunday afternoon currently sitting in second place in the conference after winning three of the last five games played. SMU beat Cincinnati last game out 76-71 after holding the Bearcats to 38.1% shooting to erase a six point halftime deficit leading to the victory.
Offensively SMU has four players averaging double figures this season as Kendric Davis leads the team scoring 19.5 points per game to go along with 4.6 assists. Marcus Weathers is second on the team averaging 12.5 points to go along with a team high 7.2 rebounds and Emanuel Bandoumel at the end 10.5 points as well.
