Louisiana upset the top-seeded Texas State Bobcats in the quarterfinals on Saturday 79-72 behind 31 points from Jordan Brown. With the victory, Louisiana has won two straight and five out of the last six.
Jordan Brown is leading Louisiana in scoring and rebounding with averages of 14.6 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, while Michael Thomas is the leader in assists with an average of 2.4 assists per game. Kobe Julien is the second-leading scorer with an average of 12.7 points per game and one of just two players for the Ragin’ Cajuns averaging double-figures in scoring. The Troy Trojans defeated the Little Rock Trojans on Saturday 69-62 in their quarterfinal matchup. Efe Odigie scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Troy to the victory. Duke Deen chipped in with 15 points while Kieffer Punter scored 10. Troy led by 11 points at halftime and held off Little Rock down the stretch.
Efe Odigie is the leading scorer for Troy with an average of 11.6 points per game, while Duke Deen is the second-leading scorer and the leader in assists with averages of 9.0 points and 3.1 assists per game. Zay Williams is the leading rebounder with an average of 6.9 rebounds per game.
