On Saturday, the No. 1 ranked Tennessee Volunteers visit Reed Arena in College Station, Texas to play the Texas A&M Aggies in an SEC showdown. The Volunteers improved to 19-1 on the season following a 92-70 win over South Carolina. Admiral Schofield led the Vols with 24 points helping Tennessee tie a school record with its 15 straight win.
Texas A&M dropped to 8-11 on the season following its 72-57 to LSU on Wednesday. The Aggies ran out of gas in the second half trailing at the half by just one point, but scoring just 21 points in the second half to lose by 15. TJ Sparks scored 21 points for the Aggies, but Texas A&M lost its fourth in the last five.
Grant Williams leads Tennessee in scoring and rebounding with averages of 20.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Admiral Schofield is second on the Volunteers in scoring with an average of 17.0 points per game. Jordan Bone leads the team in assists with an average of 6.4 per game. Tennessee is shooting 50.7% from the field and 35.8% from 3-point territory.
TJ Starks is the leading scorer and leader in assists with averages of 13.3 points and 3.7 assists per game for Texas A&M. Savion Flagg is the second leading scorer and leads the Aggies in rebounding with averages of 12.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
