The Temple Owls visit Daskalakis Athletic Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday to play the Drexel Dragons. The Owls improved to 9-2 on the season following a 77-75 win in overtime over Davidson. Temple’s Quinton Rose dunked the ball off a steal as time ran out to give the Owls the two-point victory last Saturday. Shizz Alston Jr. scored 24 points to leads the Owls while handing out a team high 11 assists.
Drexel fell to 6-6 on the season following its 97-65 loss to UConn on Tuesday. Trey Harper scored 20 points to lead Drexel while Cameron Wynter chipped in with 12. Drexel was averaging 82.2 points a game entering this matchup with UConn, and was held under 70 for just the third time this season.
Shizz Alston Jr. leads the Owls in scoring and assists with averages of 18.8 points and 5.6 assists per game. Two other players led by Quinton Rose with 16.5 points per game are averaging double figures in scoring. Ernest Aflakpui is leading the Owls in rebounds with 6.7 per game.
