The Syracuse Orange will play their second conference tournament game Friday afternoon in Brooklyn, NY against the number 7 ranked Duke Blue Devils. Syracuse got the win in their first game of the conference tournament 96-57 over Florida State to end a four game losing streak. Offensively Syracuse was dominant making 51.4% of their shots and 39.3% from beyond the arc to coast to the easy blowout victory.
Cole Swider was on fire for Syracuse posting a team high 28 points to go along with 13 rebounds in 28 minutes on the floor. Joseph Girard III chipped in 16 points and the Boeheim brothers combined to score 26 points in the game.
The Duke Blue Devils come into the conference tournament as the top team in the conference despite losing to North Carolina to end their season. Defensively Duke was terrible in their final game of the year as North Carolina made 48.5% of their shots scored 94 points in the game including 55 in the second half to erase a two point halftime Duke lead.
Offensively potential number one overall pick Paolo Banchero led the way for the Duke offense scoring 23 points on 11 of 26 shooting in 38 minutes on the floor. Big man Mark Williams added 16 points and a team high 13 rebounds, while Jeremy Roach added 15 points in 21 minutes as the leading scorer off the bench.
