The Stanford Cardinal will play their second game of the PAC 12 tournament Thursday afternoon against the number 2 ranked Arizona Wildcats. Offensively Stanford played great making 42.6% of their shots and scored 71 points in the game including 44 in the second half two make up a four point halftime deficit.
Spencer Jones carried the Stanford offense against Arizona State scoring a team high 26 points on 8/17 shooting in 33 minutes on the floor. James Keefe was the second leading starter with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Brandon Angel led the way for the reserves with 15 points in 26 minutes.
The Arizona Wildcats come into the conference tournament winners of four of the last five games played including three in a row following a 28 point blowout win over California to end the season. Arizona's offense dominated California making 62.5% of their shots 37.5% from beyond the arc to score 40+ points in each half.
The Arizona offense has been the team’s biggest strength this season as the Wildcats have averaged 84.7 points per game on 49.5% shooting from the floor. Benedict Mathurin leads all scorers for Arizona averaging 17.3 points per game on 46.8% shooting. Azuolas Tubelis is second on the team averaging 14.7 points and Christian Koloko scores 11.8 points and leads the way it with seven rebounds per game.
