The Stanford Cardinal visit Friel Court in Pullman, Washington on Saturday for a Pac-12 tilt versus the Washington State Cougars. Stanford fell to 8-9 on the season following its 80-64 loss to Washington on Thursday. KZ Okpala led Stanford in the loss with 22 points while Josh Sharma chipped in with 17. Okpala scored 18 of his 22 after halftime.
Robert Franks returned to the Washington State lineup and scored 24 points leading the Cougars to an 82-59 rout of California. The Cougars are 8-9 on the season. The win snapped a six-game losing skid with four of the losses coming while Franks was out injured.
KZ Okpala leads Stanford in scoring and in rebounding with averages of 17.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Daejon Davis leads the Cardinal in assists with an average of 4.3 per game. Stanford is shooting 45.3% from the field and 33.0% from 3-point territory.
Robert Franks leads Washington State in scoring and rebounding with averages of 22.3 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. CJ Elleby is second in scoring and second in rebounding with averages of 15.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Viont’e Daniels leads the Cougars in assists with an average of 3.5 per game. Washington State is shooting 46.3% from the field and 35.1% from 3-point territory.
