The St. Bonaventure Bonnies visit the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York on Saturday to play the Syracuse Orange. St. Bonaventure lost its third straight to fall to 4-8 in the regular season after a 64-59 loss to Northeastern. Courtney Stockard led the Bonnies with 17 points and six boards, while Jalen Poyser chipped in with 12.
Syracuse snapped a two-game losing streak with an 82-52 romp over Arkansas State. The win lifted the Orange’s record to 8-4 on the season. Tyus Battle and Elijah Hughes led the Orange with 17 points each. Oshae Brissett scored 14 of his 15 points during the second half while Paschal Chukwu led the Orange in rebounding with 13.
Courtney Stockard leads St. Bonaventure in scoring and rebounding with averages of 17.7 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, while Kyle Lofton leads the Bonnies in assists with an average of 4.0 per game. St. Bonaventure is shooting 44.0% from the field and 35.7% from 3-point territory.
Tyus Battle leads Syracuse in scoring with an average of 17.8 points per game. Two other Orange players are averaging double figures in scoring. Oshae Brissett is the leading rebounder with an average of 8.5 per game. Frank Howard leads the team in assists with an average of 3.7 per game. Syracuse is shooting 41.4% from the field and 29.5% from 3-point territory.
