South Florida at UCF 2/17/21 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

The South Florida Bulls are set to visit Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida for an AAC clash against the UCF Knights. The South Florida Bulls come into this matchup with a 7-7 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent home game against the Tulane Green Wave, 62-59. Leading the way for the South Florida Bulls was senior guard Justin Brown as he recorded 16 points and 5 rebounds. Joining Brown in the backcourt was senior guard David Collins who had a productive outing for the Bulls with 10 points.

The South Florida Bulls struggled shooting the ball against the Tulane Green Wave as they connected on 23 of their 56 field goal attempts (41.1%), and they were slightly worse from behind the three-point line (30%). The South Florida Bulls lost the turnover battle against the Tulane Green Wave (18-11), but they dominated the Green Wave in the rebounding department (41-25).

The UCF Knights come into this matchup with a 6-11 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent road game against the Cincinnati Bearcats, 69-68. Leading the way for the UCF Knights was senior guard Brandon Mahan as he recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds. Joining Mahan in the backcourt was senior guard Darius Perry who had a productive outing for the Knights as he pitched in 17 points and 4 assists.

The UCF Knights struggled shooting the ball against the Cincinnati Bearcats as they connected on 24 of their 60 field goal attempts (40%), and they were slightly worse from behind the three-point line (36.7%). The UCF Knights won the turnover battle against the Cincinnati Bearcats (13-8), but they were edged out by the Bearcats in the rebounding department (39-29).

Both of these teams have been disappointing to open the season as the USF Bulls are 3-5 while the UCF Knights are 4-10 in conference play, but the Knights are the better overall team, and they will get a chance at revenging this game against their rival at home. The Knights have a very good senior backcourt as Darius Perry is averaging 14.4 PPG while Brandon Mahan is averaging 14.1 PPG, and they should have no problem outpacing a USF offense that is only averaging 65 PPG in AAC games. The Bulls really struggled in their recent game against Tulane as they turned the ball over 18 times, and the Knights have shown the ability to lock down on the defensive side of the court which will help them in this one. Final Score Prediction, UCF Knights win and cover ATS 70-63.
