San Diego State vs. Georgetown 11/26/21 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

Georgetown will face off against San Diego State University for a 9pm PT tip off in the Wooden Legacy. The tournament is held at Anaheim Convention Center. The game will be airing nationally on ESPN2. Georgetown is off to a 2-1 start on the season while San Diego State is 3-1 with a big win against PAC-12 Arizona State 65-63.

San Diego State is one of the favorites to win the Mountain West Conference this year. Led in points per game by 6’4 senior Matt Bradley with 14.2 and a field goal percentage of 40.9. The Aztecs have a great big man inside in Nathan Mensah who averages 7.8 rebounds per game and 11.3 points per game. San Diego State are 3-0 against the spread this year.

Donald Carey leads the Georgetown Hoyas in points per game at 15.3 and a field goal percentage of 59.3. Carey has yet to miss a free throw this year. Freshman guard Aminu Mohammed is also helping carry the load for the Hoyas with 14 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game.

The teams as a whole matchup pretty evenly although the Hoyas are averaging 10 more points per game then San Diego State at 74 to 64.

Both teams have taken different patches to get to the records they have now. Georgetown has faced lesser talented opponents even losing to one in Dartmouth 69-60. Another higher talented team in Colorado beat the Hoyas 96-73. For these reasons i don’t see the former National Champions victorious in this game. Final Score Prediction, San Diego State Aztecs win 83-72.
