The Saint Mary's Gaels will be in Portland, OR Saturday night for round two of the NCAA tournament against the UCLA Bruins. Saint Mary's got to the second round of the tournament following a 29 point blowout win over Indiana in round one period offensively Sain. Mary's was dominant making 51.7% of their shots and 47.6% from beyond the arc to score 82 points in 40 minutes.

Logan Johnson led all scorers for Saint Mary's with twenty points on 8 of 13 shooting in 34 minutes on the floor. Tommy Kuhse chipped in 19 points and six assists, while Alex Ducas scored a third best 13 points in 30 minutes on the floor.

The UCLA Bruins squeaked into the second round following a four point win over Akron. Offensively UCLA was abysmal making only 35.2% of their shots, while turning the ball over 11 times but scored 32 points in the second half to erase a one point halftime deficit. Tyger Campbell led all scorers for UCLA with 16 points on six of 12 shooting in 38 minutes on the floor.

Offensively this season UCLA has been dominant averaging 75.8 points per game on 44.8% shooting as a team. Johnny Juzang leads the team scoring 15.8 points per game on 43.1% shooting. Jamie Jaquez Jr. is second on the team scoring 14 points to go along with a team high 5.9 rebounds.

After such a poor showing in the first round of the tournament UCLA will bounce back in a big way on Saturday. Look for UCLA to use their depth and scoring to stifle Saint Mary's for 40 minutes. Take UCLA to do enough to get the win and cover and advance to next weekend. Final Score Prediction, UCLA wins and covers 77-71.
