The Rider Broncs are set to visit Draddy Gymnasium in Riverdale, New York for a MAAC clash against the Manhattan Jaspers. The Rider Broncs come into this matchup with a 10-8 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against the Saint Peter’s Peacocks, 70-66. Leading the way for the Rider Broncs was junior guard Dimencio Vaughn as he recorded 15 points and 6 rebounds. Joining Vaughn in the backcourt was senior guard Stevie Jordan who had a productive outing for the Broncs with 12 points and 5 assists.

The Rider Broncs had a good shooting game against the Saint Peter’s Peacocks as they connected on 22 of their 45 field goal attempts (48.9%), and they were even better from behind the three-point line (57.1%). The Rider Broncs won the turnover battle against the Saint Peter’s Peacocks (22-16), but they were edged out by the Peacocks in the rebounding department (33-22).

The Manhattan Jaspers come into this matchup with an 8-8 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent road game against the Marist Red Foxes, 75-73 in OT. Leading the way for the Manhattan Jaspers was senior forward Tyler Reynolds as he recorded 23 points and 4 rebounds. Sophomore forward Warren Williams had a productive outing off the bench for the Jaspers as he pitched in 14 points and 6 rebounds.

The Manhattan Jaspers had a solid shooting game against the Marist Red Foxes as they connected on 22 of their 52 field goal attempts (42.3%), but they were slightly worse from behind the three-point line (37.5%). The Manhattan Jaspers lost the turnover battle against the Marist Red Foxes (21-16), but they edged out the Red Foxes in the rebounding department (37-32).

The Manhattan Jaspers have struggled as of recent as they have dropped 2 consecutive games, but they get to return home and welcome a Rider squad that is 3-7 on the road this season. The Jaspers have been solid on the defensive side of the court against MAAC opponents as they are allowing just 66.1 PPG, and that will be a problem for a Rider team that is dependent on their scoring (72.4 PPG). The Jaspers haven’t been much of a scoring threat this season, but the Rider defense has really struggled in conference play as they are allowing an average of 71.6 PPG. Manhattan has been dependent on Tykei Greene, Warren Williams, and Tyler Reynolds to generate scoring as they are all averaging over 10 PPG in MAAC play, and I think they will once again produce enough points at home to win this game. Final Score Prediction, Manhattan Jaspers win and cover ATS 72-68.
