The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons travel to Fargo, ND on Friday for a game against the North Dakota State Bison in matchup of teams from the Summit League.  In their last game, the Mastodons were victorious against the University of Denver, winning by the score of 70-63.  Deonte Billups was the leading scorer for Purdue Fort Wayne as he recorded a total of 15 points on the night while shooting 5 of 9 from the field and 4 of 5 from the free throw line.  Billups also led the Mastodons in rebounds on the night with 11, including 3 coming off the offensive boards.  Jarred Godfrey led Purdue Fort Wayne in assists in the game with 4 while playing a total of 34 minutes against Denver.

After the win, Purdue Fort Wayne is now 12-14 on the season and 5-6 in conference play which places them in 5th place in the Summit League.  Jarred Godfrey has been the leading scorer on the year for the Mastodons as he has scored 15.8 points per game while shooting 45.6 percent from the field and 65.3 percent from the free throw line.  Godfrey also leads Purdue Fort Wayne in assists per game with an average of 3.4.  Dylan Carl has been the Mastodons leading rebounder this season as he has averaged 4.7 rebounds per game.

The North Dakota State Bison welcome the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons to town after winning their last game against Oral Roberts by the score of 83-76.  Vinnie Shahid led the Bison in points with 31 in the game while shooting 8 of 14 from the field and 9 of 9 from the free throw line.  Rocky Kreuser was the leading rebounder for North Dakota State as he pulled in 7 rebounds with 2 coming offensively.  Tyson Ward was the assists leader in the game for the Bison with 6 while playing a total of 37 minutes.

With the win against Oral Roberts, North Dakota State improved to 18-7 on the season and 9-2 in conference play which is good enough for 1st place in the Summit League.  Vinnie Shahid is the leading scorer on the year for the Bison as he has recorded 18.1 points per game while shooting 43.2% from the field and an impressive 88.9% from the free throw line.  Tyson Ward has been the most productive rebounder this season for the Bison as he has averaged 7.2 rebounds per game.  Ward also leads North Dakota State in assists per game with an average of 2.9.

The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons have scored an average of 69.7 points per game this season while allowing 70.5 points per game.  The North Dakota State Bison have scored 74 points per game on the year while allowing 65.6 points per game.  In their last 5 games, the Mastodons are 3-2 and have won 2 games in a row while the Bison are 5-0.  North Dakota State won the first meeting of the season between these two teams by the score of 71-60.  With the Bison winning the first matchup of the season between these two teams and having a statistical advantage at both ends of the court, I would have trouble not going with the North Dakota State in this one, but I do believe Purdue Fort Wayne will challenge the large spread.  Final score prediction, North Dakota State Bison win, but do not cover the spread 73-65.
