Pepperdine at San Francisco 2/11/23 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

Sitting at 9-17 and just 2-10 in West Coast Conference play this season has been one to forget for the Pepperdine Waves. The Waves head north to battle the San Francisco Dons. The Waves lost both matchups against the Dons last season and are looking for a win in this game.

Maxwell Lewis is the player to watch for Pepperdine and is averaging 18 points per game while shooting 48.8% from the field. Houston Mallette is another scoring threat for Pepperdine and is averaging 13.6 points per game. Mike Mitchell Jr. runs the show for the Waves and leads the team in assists with 5 per game, while chipping in 11.2 points per game.

With a 15-12 record and a 4-8 mark in conference play, the San Francisco Dons are having a solid season. The Dons play host to Pepperdine and can ill afford to take a struggling Pepperdine team lightly. The Dons defeated the Waves in both matchups last season.

Khalil Shabazz is the leading scorer for the Dons and is averaging 16.3 points per game. Tyrell Roberts is not far behind and contributes 15.3 points per contest. Zane Meeks rounds out the double-figure scorers for the Dons with 12.3 points per game. Meeks also leads the Dons on the boards with 5.7 per contest.

The Waves have played horrible almost all season. Throw in the fact that the Waves were taken to double overtime recently by Portland and it is easy to see the Waves struggles are going to continue in this game here. Look for the Dons to easily control this game, but also have a great offensive showing as the Pepperdine team does not have any defense to speak of. Final Score Prediction, San Francisco Dons win 82-74.
