Penn vs Kansas 3/15/18 - NCAA Tournament Picks & Predictions

Coming off a 24-8 season and an IVY League Championship, the Penn Quakers battle the Kansas Jayhawks in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. No Number 16 seed has ever defeated a Number 1 seed and the Quakers will be hard pressed to defeat the Jayhawks.

Ryan Betley is the leading scorer for the Quakers and is averaging 14.5 points per game. AJ Brodeur is an additional scoring threat for the Quakers and is averaging 13.1 points per game. Brodeur is also averaging 7.1 poinst per game. Darnell Foreman leads the Quakers in assists and is averaging 3.6 per contest. The Quakers are averaging 77 points per game this season and are shooting 46% from the field. Coming off a 27-7 season the Kansas Jayhawks have secured a Number 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament and kick off the tournament with a battle against the Penn Quakers. The Jayhawks have high expectations for a deep tournament run.

Devonte' Graham is the player to watch for the Jayhawks and is averaging 17.3 points and 7.5 assists per game. Udoke Azubuike is expected to return for the NCAA Tournament after missing the last several games of the season with injury. Azubuike is averaging 13.7 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. The Jayhawks are averaging 82 points per game this season and are shooting 49.8% from the field.

Another tough Ivy League team that will be tough out even if facing the #1 seed of Kansas. Jayhawks don't have the size and dominance of most seasons and relying on 4 guard line-up plays right in the hands of Penn. Closer than expected Kansas win here, Final Score Prediction, Jayhawks win but fall short ATS 79-71.
