The Pacific Tigers will leave home Thursday night and visit the Chiles Center in Portland, OR to take on the Portland Pilots. Pacific comes into Thursday night as one of the worst teams in the nation sitting at 5-12 overall riding a six game losing streak after an 8 point loss to San Diego.
The Pacific offense was not existent against San Diego as the Tigers shot only 40% from the floor and 33.3% from beyond the arc, while turning the ball over 12 times leading to the loss.
Pierre Crockrell II was the only spark within the Pacific lineup posting a team high 24 points on 10 of 18 shooting in 34 minutes on the floor. Luke Avdalovic chipped in 15 points in 34 minutes and Nick Blake added a team high 13 points in 19 minutes off the bench.
The Portland Pilots will be back at home Thursday night on the wrong side of a two game losing streak after a 13 point loss to BYU last game out. Defensively Portland struggled against BYU as the Cougars shot 50% from the floor and 40.7% from beyond the arc to score 39 points in each half leading to the win.
Offensively Portland was mediocre against BYU converting on 24-55 from the floor and 34.8% from beyond the arc but turned the ball over seven times and lost by 13 points. Tyler Robertson led all scorers for Portland with 15 points on 5/11 shooting in 34 minutes on the floor. Chris Austin chipped in 11 points as the only other Pilot in double figures and Mike meadows added 9 points and 5 rebounds.
