The Pacific Tigers visit McCarthey Athletic Center in Spokane, Washington on Thursday to play the No. 5 ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs. Pacific fell to 10-7 on the season following is 73-64 loss to San Diego on Saturday. The Tigers shot just 38.2% from the field on San Diego’s home court. Jahlil Tripp led Pacific with 24 points, while Roberto Gallinat scored 19.
Gonzaga improved to 14-2 on the season following its 91-48 rout of Santa Clara on Saturday. The Bulldogs were led by Rui Hachimura with 25 points. The game was the opening game of the West Coast Conference for the Bulldogs and was Gonzaga’s fifth straight win overall.
Roberto Gallinat leads Pacific in scoring with an average of 15.3 points per game. Jahlil Tripp leads the Tigers in rebounds with an average of 6.5 per game and is the team leader in assists with an average of 2.7 per game. Pacific is shooting 45.1% from the field and 35.2% from 3-point territory.
Rui Hachimura leads Gonzaga in scoring with an average of 21.4 points per game. Brandon Clarke is the second leading scorer and leader in rebounds with averages of 17.0 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. Josh Perkins is leading the Bulldogs in assists with an average of 6.9 per game. Gonzaga is shooting 53.2% from the field and 37.3% from 3-point territory.
