A trip to the Final Four will be at stake when the Oregon State Beavers battle the Houston Cougars on Monday from Lucas Oil Stadium. The Beavers (20-12) were picked to finish last in the Pac 12 Conference and are just the second 12th seed to reach the Elite Eight. On Saturday, Oregon State limited Loyola Chicago to 33 percent shooting during a 65-58 victory. The Beavers led by eight points at halftime and never trailed during the second half.

Oregon State G Ethan Thompson led all scorers with 22 points on 6-for-13 shooting and dished out four assists. Warith Alatishe contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Beavers.

The Houston Cougars won 14 of their 17 American Conference games and defeated Cincinnati in the conference championship game by 37 points. On Saturday, Houston limited Syracuse to 28 percent from the field en route to a 62-46 victory. The second-seeded Cougars (27-3) outrebounded the Orange by a 40-31 margin and never trailed in the game.

Quentin Grimes knocked down 4-for-12 from the three-point line and led Houston with 14 points. Justin Gorham added 13 points and ten rebounds for the Cougars.
