The #9 Oklahoma Sooners (19 - 13) are doing battle with the #8 Ole Miss Rebels (20 - 12) in the first round of the Men's Basketball Championship. This game will be played at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, SC. This game will be fairly evenly split thanks to both teams having solid rosters. Oklahoma takes the court having lost two-straight while Ole Miss comes into this game looking to bounce back after a close loss to Alabama.

The Ole Miss Rebels are taking the court with an offense that scores 75 PPG. Ole Miss is capable of putting up points in a hurry but the Sooners have struggled in recent weeks. Ole Miss is led in scoring by Breein Tyree (18 PPG on 47% shooting) and he'll be our player to highlight in this game. Ole Miss surrenders 70 PPG to opposing teams on defense. Ole Miss can't afford to get off to a slow start or the Rebels could blow this in the first half. The Oklahoma Sooners are taking the court with a team that has been cold from the floor. Oklahoma is scoring just 71 PPG on offense this season and the Sooners have been held under that number in three of their past five games. Oklahoma is led by Christian James (14 PPG, 6 RPG) and he'll be primed for a big outing. Oklahoma's defense will come into focus as the Sooners are giving up just 67 PPG to opposing teams.

This Sooners team is just more consistent and love Coach Kruger's teams in post season action. Experience of Coach Kruger can't be replaced in what looks like extremely close game. Add in the fact that the SEC teams are way over-rated and think we are getting points with the better Sooners team. Final Score Prediction, Oklahoma Sooners win and cover ATS 75-73.
