The Ohio State Buckeyes visit Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska on Saturday for a Big Ten showdown with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The loss was Ohio State’s fifth straight and not having Kyle Young in the lineup due to injury continues to plague the Buckeyes. Andre Wesson led the Buckeyes with 22 points.
Nebraska fell to 13-6 on the season following its 76-69 loss to Rutgers. The Cornhuskers were led in the loss by James Palmer Jr. with 22 points. Isaac Copeland Jr. scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Cornhuskers.
Kaleb Wesson is leading in scoring and the leading rebounder for Ohio State with averages of 15.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. C.J. Jackson is the second leading scorer for the Buckeyes and leader in assists with averages of 12.7 points and 3.7 assists per game. Ohio State is shooting 46.3% from the field and 36.5% from 3-point territory.
James Palmer Jr. leads Nebraska in scoring with an average of 19.4 points per game. Three other Cornhuskers are scoring in double figures. Isaiah Roby leads in rebounding with an average of 6.6 per game. Glynn Watson Jr. is the assists leader with an average of 3.8 per game. The Cornhuskers are shooting 46.1% from the field and 35.6% from 3-point territory.
