Oakland at Purdue 12/1/20 - NCAA Basketball Picks & Predictions

Mackay Arena will play host to a Tuesday college basketball battle between the Oakland Golden Grizzlies and the Purdue Boilermakers. The Golden Grizzlies are  winless in four games and showing signs of improvement for veteran head coach Greg Kampe. On Sunday, Oakland took 25th ranked Michigan to overtime before falling by an 81-71 final score.

Jalen Moore converted 12 of his 13 free throws and led Oakland with 21 points to go along with nine rebounds and six assists. Trey Townsend added 13 points and four rebounds for the Golden Grizzlies.

The Purdue Boilermakers finished a game above .500 overall last season and are looking to improve on a tenth place finish in the Big Ten Conference. Last time out, Purdue turned the ball over 22 times during an 81-70 loss against Clemson. The Boilermakers (1-1) outrebounded the Tigers by 13 and shot 9-for-21 from long distance.

Zach Edey led four Purdue players in double figures with 17 points and eight rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench. Brandon Newman added 15 points and five rebounds in a losing effort for the Boilermakers.
