Juare Davis punched in a second best 14 points in 23 minutes and Jameer Nelson Jr. scored 11 points as the third starter in double figures. Dylan Painter added a team high 12 points in 23 minutes off the bench.
The UNC Wilmington Seahawks are riding a five game win streak heading into the championship game following a 3 point win over Charleston in semifinals. The UNC Wilmington defense was the difference in the semis holding Charleston a 38.3% shooting and forced 16 turnovers to pick up the win.
The Seahawks offense has three players averaging double figures this season led by Jaylen Sims scoring a team high 16 points per game to go along with a team high 5.7 rebounds and team leading 2.3 assists.
