North Carolina vs Kansas 4/4/22 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

Two of college basketball’s most storied programs will square off on Monday night, when the North Carolina Tar Heels battle the Kansas Jayhawks for the National Championship. The eighth-seeded Tar Heels (29-9) have won 11 of their last 12 games for first-year head coach Hubert Davis and are in search of their seventh national title. On Saturday, North Carolina made the plays down the stretch of an 80-77 victory against ACC rival Duke.

North Carolina G Caleb Lover poured in a game-high 28 points on 11-for-20 shooting and pulled down four boards. Armando Bacot contributed 11 points and 21 rebounds for the Tar Heels.

The Kansas Jayhawks finished tied with Baylor for the Big 12 Conference regular season title and are looking for their fourth national title in school history. On Saturday, Kansas built an 11-point halftime lead and held off several Villanova comeback attempts to earn an 81-65 victory. The top-seeded Jayhawks (33-6) connected on 13-for-24 from the three-point line and limited the Wildcats to 39 percent shooting.

Kansas C David McCormack led all scorers with 25 points on 10-for-12 from the field and grabbed nine rebounds. Ochai Agbaji nailed  6-for-7 from long distance and finished with 21 points for the Jayhawks.

North Carolina C Armando Bacot tweaked his ankle late in Saturday’s game and is expected to play in this game. Both teams rank in the top 30 nationally in offensive efficiency, so the over is worth a look. The Jayhawks are the deeper team and the better defensive unit. Take Kansas to cover and cut down the nets. Final Score Prediction, Kansas Jayhawks win 82-74.
