On Tuesday, the No. 15 ranked North Carolina State Wolfpack visit Lawrence Joel Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to play the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. North Carolina State improved to 14-2 with an 86-80 win over Pittsburgh on Saturday. The Wolfpack were led by DJ Funderburk who scored 18 points. NC State is now 2-1 in ACC play.
Wake Forest dropped to 7-8 on the season following its 76-65 loss to Miami on Saturday. The Demon Deacons have two freshman starting and have lost five of the last six overall. Chaundee Brown led Wake in the loss with 22 points, while Brandon Childress scored just 11 points after shooting 2-for-12.
Torin Dorn leads the Wolfpack in scoring and rebounding with averages of 14.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Three other Wolfpack players are averaging double figures in scoring. The assists leader is Markell Johnson with an average of 4.1 per game. NC State is shooting 50.7% from the field and 39.6% from 3-point territory.
Brandon Childress leads the Demon Deacons in scoring and assists with averages of 16.5 points and 4.3 assists per game. Jaylen Hoard is the second leading scorer and leader in rebounds with averages of 14.7 points and 8.0rebounds per game. Wake Forest is shooting 42.2% from the field and 32.8% from 3-point territory.
