The Navy Midshipmen are set to visit Case Gym in Boston, Massachusetts for a Patriot League quarterfinal matchup against the Boston Terriers. The Navy Midshipmen come into this matchup with a 14-15 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent road game against the Lafayette Leopards, 62-60. Leading the way for the Navy Midshipmen was junior guard Cam Davis as he recorded 15 points and 3 rebounds. Junior forward Luke Loehr had a productive outing for the Midshipmen as he pitched in 11 points and 5 rebounds.

The Navy Midshipmen struggled shooting the ball against the Lafayette Leopards as they connected on 23 of their 57 field goal attempts (40.4%), and they were slightly worse from behind the three-point line (30.4%). The Navy Midshipmen were even with the Lafayette Leopards in the turnover battle (9-9), but they edged out the Leopards in the rebounding department (37-31).

The Boston Terriers come into this matchup with an 18-13 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against the Bucknell Bison, 74-71. Leading the way for the Boston Terriers was senior forward Max Mahoney as he recorded 23 points and 10 rebounds. Junior guard Javante McCoy had a productive outing for the Terriers as he pitched in 17 points and 3 rebounds.

The Boston Terriers had a good shooting game against the Bucknell Bison as they connected on 29 of their 54 field goal attempts (53.7%), but they were significantly worse from behind the three-point line (35.7%). The Boston Terriers won the turnover battle against the Bucknell Bison (10-9), but they were edged out by the Bison in the rebounding department (33-32).

The Boston Terriers enjoyed one of their best seasons in program history as they went 12-6, and they will have a chance to move onto the next round against a Navy team they beat by 23 points in their last matchup. The Terriers have been amazing on both sides of the court this season as they rank 3rd in points scored and 1st in points allowed, but the same can’t be said about the Navy Midshipmen who are one of the worst scoring teams in the country (331st). Boston has a very good duo in their frontcourt as Max Mahoney is leading the way with 15.6 PPG and 8.8 RPG while Walter Whyte is pitching in 12.6 PPG and 7.8 RPG, and they should find success against a Navy defense that is allowing opponents to connect on 52.3% of their two-point attempts. The Boston Terriers have been good at home this season with a 10-3 record, and they move onto the next round with a win over the Midshipmen. Final Score Prediction, Boston Terriers win and cover ATS 75-62.
