The Morgan State Bears roll into the semifinal of the MEAC tournament Friday night riding a five game win streak after a 3 point win over South Carolina State on Thursday. Offensively Morgan State had one of their best games in recent memory making 45.5% from beyond the arc and 54.4% from the floor to score 40 points in each half.
Malik Miller let all scorers from Morgan State with 16 points and seven rebounds in 35 minutes on the floor. Chad Venning chipped in a second best 15 points in 20 minutes and Isaiah Burke led the way off the bench with 13 points.
The Norfolk State Spartans are the top team in this conference coming into the semifinals on a four game win streak after an 8 point win over Delaware State. Norfolk State beat Delaware State 74-66 on Thursday after shooting 42% from the floor as a team. Jalen Hawkins Was the leader of the Norfolk State offense with 17 points in the game.
