The Missouri Valley has started to move up to being one of the top rated conferences in the nation. Granted, it is not at the same level as the Big East, but it does have quite a few schools that could be a major threat if they are able to have some more time to develop their good players and that is a definite possibility here.
Northern Iowa Panthers ( 25-6 Last Year )
Northern Iowa is coming into the season with a couple of all league players from last year coming back. Now, the downside is the Northern Iowa team did lose Isaiah Brown who was a defensive juggernaut last year.
Loyola Ramblers ( 21-11 Last Year )
Loyola is coming to the court this year with quite a bit of potential, but a problem is the team was not allowed to practice for 4 months due to coronavirus restrictions.
Bradley Braves ( 23-11 Last Year )
Bradley is one team that has Elijah Childs and Ja’Shon Henry coming back on the year. The lack of leadership could pose to be a problem for the Bradley team.
Indiana State Sycamores ( 18-12 Last Year )
Indiana State is bringing back almost all of their top scoring players from the team last year. The problem is even with the top scorers coming back the Indiana State is going to have some big shoes to fill.
Drake Bulldogs ( 20-14 Last Year )
Drake will have some good players coming back to help Roman Penn in the game. The big problem is the defense that is going to suffer from the loss of their 7 footer to fill the middle.
Missouri State Bears ( 16-17 Last Year )
Missouri State is one team that can play really good, but have to build up their roster again this year. The Missouri State team did end up losing the bulk of their team this year.
Valparaiso Crusaders ( 19-16 Last Year )
Valparaiso is one team that has potential, but has a lot to replace on the season. The Crusaders did make the title game last year, but almost half of the minutes the Crusaders had in the title game from last year is gone.
Southern Illinois Salukis ( 16-16 Last Year )
Southern Illinois is one team that is bringing back Marcus Domask who has been a powerhouse for the team. The downside is outside of Domask the team is somewhat new or does not have a ton of talent making it hard to be competitive in the game.
Illinois State Redbirds ( 10-21 Last Year )
Illinois State is coming to the season here with a lot of newcomers. The problem is the team has lost all of the players that were around when the Redbirds used to be a good team.
Evansville Purple Aces ( 9-23 Last Year )
The one good thing for the Purple Aces is the team has been able to get a new culture back. The Purple Aces, though, are coming into the season having to adapt to the new culture and that will make it very difficult for the Evansville team to be a major threat.
