The No. 2 ranked Michigan Wolverines visit State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois on Thursday for a Big Ten clash with the Illinois Fighting Illini. The Wolverines remained unbeaten at 15-0 with a 74-63 win on Sunday over Indiana. Charles Matthews led the Wolverines with 18 points helping Michigan build an early double-digit lead and then hold on late for the win.
Illinois fell to 4-11 on the season after falling to Northwestern 68-66 on Sunday. The Fighting Illini were led in the loss by Ayo Dosunmu with 18 points, while Adonis De La Rosa scored 12. The loss was the Illini’s fourth straight. Trent Frazier’s 3-point attempt at the buzzer to win the game just missed its mark.
Ignas Brazdeikis is the leading scorer and second leading rebounder with averages of 16.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
