The first NIT Semifinal will tip-off on Saturday afternoon, when the Memphis Tigers and the Colorado State Rams battle from the Comerica Center. The Tigers (18-8) finished third in the American Conference with an 11-4 record and are allowing 62.5 points per contest. On Thursday, Lester Quinones made a putback with 32.5 seconds remaining to lift Memphis to a 59-56 victory versus Boise State.

Boogie Ellis and D.J. Jeffries led Memphis with 11 points apiece on a combined 10-for-21 from the field. Quinones added ten points and seven rebounds for the Tigers.

The Colorado State Rams finished in third place in the Mountain West Conference with a 14-4 record and average 74.3 points per game. On Thursday, Colorado State made the plays down the stretch of a 65-61 victory versus NC State. The Rams (20-6) missed 20 of their 23 three-point attempts and were outrebounded by a 36-31 margin.

Colorado State G Isaiah Stevens tallied a game-high 18 points on 6-for-13 shooting and dished out four assists. David Roddy and Kendle Moore chipped in 16 points each for the Rams.

Memphis ranks first in the nation in defensive efficiency, so the under is my lean on the total. The Tigers also rank 20th nationally in rebounding rate and the Rams rank 108th in that category. Take Memphis to win and cover on Saturday. Final Score Prediction, Memphis Tigers win and cover ATS 73-65.
