The Memphis Tigers are set to visit Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum in Greenville, North Carolina for an AAC clash against the East Carolina Pirates. The Memphis Tigers come into this matchup with a 7-5 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against the Wichita State Shockers, 72-52. Leading the way for the Memphis Tigers was sophomore guard Landers Nolley II as he recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds. Junior guard Alex Lomax had a productive outing off the bench for the Tigers as he pitched in 12 points and 6 assists.

The Memphis Tigers had a solid shooting game against the Wichita State Shockers as they connected on 28 of their 61 field goal attempts (45.9%), and they were very good from behind the three-point line (61.1%). The Memphis Tigers lost the turnover battle against the Wichita State Shockers (16-10), but they edged out the Shockers in the rebounding department (47-39).

The East Carolina Pirates come into this matchup with a 7-3 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent home game against the South Florida Bulls, 69-63. Leading the way for the East Carolina Pirates was junior guard Tremont Robinson-White as he recorded 29 points. Junior forward Jayden Gardner had a productive outing off the bench for the Pirates as he pitched in 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The East Carolina Pirates struggled shooting the ball against the South Florida Bulls as they connected on 21 of their 54 field goal attempts (38.9%), and they were even worse from behind the three-point line (20%). The East Carolina Pirates won the turnover battle against the South Florida Bulls (17-11), but they were edged out by the Bulls in the rebounding department (41-33).

The East Carolina Pirates are coming off a couple of postponed games which will leave some questions on how they will respond, but the Memphis Tigers have really struggled this season as they are 7-5 on the season. The Tigers had a solid scoring performance in their recent game as they scored 72 points, but that hasn’t been the case throughout conference play as they are only averaging 63.2 PPG, and that has kept their opponents in every game this season. The Memphis defense will present a real challenge to the Pirates, but they have one of the better forwards in the conference with Jayden Gardner averaging 16.3 PPG, and he should do enough to keep his team in this game at home. Final Score Prediction, Memphis Tigers win but fail to cover ATS 72-67.
