The NCAA Tournament will continue on Monday with a second round matchup between the Maryland Terrapins and the Alabama Crimson Tide. The tenth-seeded Terrapins (17-13) have won seven of their last ten games and are allowing 65.0 points per contest. On Saturday, Maryland limited UConn to 32 percent shooting during a 63-54 victory. The Terrapins led by 11 at halftime and shot 51 percent from the field.

Maryland G Eric Ayala led all scorers with 23 points on 8-for-14 shooting and grabbed five rebounds. Aaron Wiggins chipped in 14 points and five rebounds for the Terrapins.

The Alabama Crimson Tide finished in first place in the SEC Conference with a 16-2 record and rank 34th in the country in scoring (79.6 ppg). In the first round, Alabama outscored Iona by 12 points in the second half to pull away for a 68-55 victory. The second-seeded Crimson Tide (25-6) dominated the Gaels on the glass by a 42-26 margin and shot 47 percent from the field.

SEC Player of the Year Herbert Jones tallied a game-high 20 points on 8-for-15 shooting and pulled down six boards. John Petty Jr. added ten points and seven rebounds for the Crimson Tide.

Alabama ranks 15th nationally in defensive efficiency and Maryland ranks 132nd in that category. The Crimson Tide are a slightly better offensive team as well and shoot the three ball better. Take Alabama to win and cover. Final Score Prediction, Alabama Crimson Tide win 75-63.
