Marquette at UNC 2/24/21 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

The Dean Smith Center will play host to a Wednesday college basketball clash between the Marquette Golden Eagles and the North Carolina Tar Heels. The Golden Eagles (10-12) have dropped ten of their 16 Big East Conference games and average 70.3 points per contest. On Wednesday, Marquette built a 16-point halftime lead and cruised to a 73-57 road victory against Butler.

Greg Elliott led four Marquette players in double figures with 17 points and six rebounds. Jamal Cain contributed 14 points and 14 rebounds off the bench for the Golden Eagles.

The North Carolina Tar Heels have won consecutive games and rank fourth in the nation in rebounding (42.9 rpg). On Saturday, North Carolina outrebounded visiting Louisville by 11 during a 99-54 home victory. The Tar Heels (14-7) assisted on 29 of their 42 made field goals and shot a sizzling 61 percent overall.

Freshman F Day’Ron Sharpe tallied a game-high 21 points on 10-for-14 shooting in just 17 minutes off the North Carolina bench. Armando Bacot chipped in 14 points and nine rebounds for the Tar Heels.

The Tar Heels rank first in the country in rebounding rate and Marquette ranks 67th in that category. Look for Marquette to be competitive on the glass and cover on the road. Final Score Prediction, North Carolina Tar Heels win 73-71.
