Marquette is heading into the game here after getting a big win over Xavier in the last game. The Golden Eagles were able to put in 85 points in the game and completely crushed Xavier. The win allowed the Marquette squad to move to 2-3 in the Big East and 12-5 overall.

Defensively Brendan Bailey has ended up with 5.4 boards per game on the year. Scoring overall for Marquette is sitting at 77.2 points per game, but the defense for Marquette is giving up only 67.9  points a game.

Georgetown is heading into the game here with a 2-3 record in the Big East, but overall the Hoyas have looked decent as well with a 12-6 record this year. The last game on the court for Georgetown was an 83-80 win over the Creighton Bluejays who at the time were ranked 25th in the nation.

The Golden Eagles also have Howard on the roster who can control the game here and easily outmatch the Hoyas defense to help Marquette bring home the win.
