Loyola Maryland at Lehigh Mountain 1/16/22 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

The Loyola Maryland Greyhounds will be in Bethlehem, PA Sunday afternoon to take on the Lehigh Mountain Hawks. Loyola is 10-6 on the year and 4-1 in conference riding a four game win streak following a 14 point win against Lafayette last game out. Offensively Loyola dominated Lafayette making 55.1% of their shots and 53.3% from beyond the arc to score 74 points in the game leading to the double digit win. 

Jaylin Andrews was the leading scorer for Loyola against Lafayette with 21 points on 7 of 14 shooting in 32 minutes on the floor. Cameron Spencer chipped in 14 points and Kenny Jones added ten points and a team high 9 assists. Veljko Ilic led the way for the Loyola reserves with a team high 14 points in 17 minutes off the bench. 

The Lehigh Mountain Hawks seem to have figured things out as of late coming into Sunday five games under .500 on the season with a 6-11 record overall but have won four of the last five games played including a 33 point blowout win last game out. The Lehigh offense had their best game of the season last game against Bucknell converting on 37 of 71 shots and 18 of 34 from beyond the arc to score 97 total points including 53 in the second half leading to the win.

For the season Lehigh has been a below average offensive unit scoring only 66.9% on 43.5% shooting as a team. Evan Taylor is the leading scorer for Lehigh averaging 13.4 points per game to go along with a team high 5.9 rebounds. Jeameril Wilson adds in 11.1 points per game and Marques Wilson chips in 10.4 points on 36.8% shooting.
