Long Beach State at Stanford 11/12/19 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

Off to a 1-1 start to the season the Long Beach State 49ers head north to battle the Stanford Cardinal. The 49ers went 15-19 last season and are hoping for a better outcome this season.

Chance Hunter leads the 49ers in scoring thus far this year and is averaging 20 points per game. Hunter is also leading the 49ers in rebounding with 6.5 per contest. Michael Carter III is an additional player to watch for Long Beach State and is averaging 17 points per game and a team high 2.5 assists per contest.

Sitting at 2-0 on the season the Stanford Cardinal play host to the Long Beach State 49ers in an earlier season out of conference matchup. Last season was a disappointing one in Palo Alto as the Cardinal finished only 15-16. Hopefully this season will be better for a once proud program. With a difficult Pac 12 schedule looming each and every game is of the utmost importance to the Cardinal.

Oscar Da Silva is the leading scorer for the Cardinal and is averaging 17.5 points per game. Bryce Willis is arguably the Cardinal's best all around player and is averaging 7.5 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. Tyrell Terry is an additional scorer for Stanford and is averaging 12.5 points per game.

The 49ers are heading into the game a little bit outmatched in the game. However, the Cardinal’s have managed to play decent this year. The downside is the 14 point spread is a little bit much as Long Beach State does have some talent that will help to slow down the Cardinal offense. Final Score Prediction, Stanford Cardinal win, but do not cover ATS 74-65.
