Kentucky at Missouri 2/3/21 - NCAA Basketball Picks & Predictions

The Kentucky Wildcats are set to visit Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri for an SEC clash against the Missouri Tigers. The Kentucky Wildcats come into this matchup with a 5-10 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent road game against the Alabama Crimson Tide, 70-59. Leading the way for the Kentucky Wildcats was senior guard Davion Mintz as he recorded 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Freshman guard Dontaie Allen had a productive outing off the bench for the Wildcats as he pitched in 12 points.

The Kentucky Wildcats struggled shooting the ball against the Alabama Crimson Tide as they connected on 19 of their 54 field goal attempts (35.2%), but they were solid from behind the three-point line (42.9%). The Kentucky Wildcats lost the turnover battle against the Alabama Crimson Tide (17-14), but they were even with the Crimson Tide in the rebounding department (34-34).

The Missouri Tigers come into this matchup with a 11-3 record, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning their recent home game against the TCU Horned Frogs, 102-98 in OT. Leading the way for the Missouri Tigers was junior guard Xavier Pinson as he recorded 36 points and 4 assists. Senior forward Jeremiah Tilmon had a productive outing for the Tigers as he pitched in 33 points and 11 rebounds.

The Missouri Tigers had a good shooting game against the TCU Horned Frogs as they connected on 35 of their 61 field goal attempts (57.4%), and they were very good from behind the three-point line (47.8%). The Missouri Tigers lost the turnover battle against the TCU Horned Frogs (11-8), but they edged out the Horned Frogs in the rebounding department (36-31).

The Kentucky Wildcats are still being overvalued by Vegas due to their name, but this isn’t a very good team this season and they will be tested by the experienced Missouri Tigers on their homecourt. The Tigers have proven their worth scoring the basketball this season as they are averaging 75.2 PPG as well as coming off a 102-point performance against TCU, and they have a handful of guys who can push the basketball with 4 different guys averaging over 10 PPG. The Kentucky Wildcats are an extremely talented team on paper this season, but they are 4-4 in conference play and only averaging 69.8 PPG which will be a problem in this up tempo paced game that the Tigers want to play. Final Score Prediction, Missouri Tigers win and cover ATS 76-68.
