Ninth seed Kansas State plays eighth seed Creighton in the first round of the South Regional on Friday. Kansas State is 22-11 and Creighton is 21-11. Both teams were 10-8 in their respective conferences, K-State was fourth in the Big 12 and Creighton was fourth in the Big East. Both team have had some great moments this year.

Kansas State was without two of its leading scorers in its last game, and it is not known if they will be back from injuries. Leading scorer Dean Wade, 16.5 points per game, is one of the injured, and he had scored 25 in two of his last four games. Barry Brown is averaging 16 per game and could still be out. Xavier Sneed is averaging 10.6.

Kansas State beat Oklahoma when they were No. 4, and beat ranked TCU in the next game. Creighton is 4-6 against ranked teams, and beat Villanova. The Bluejays are 10th in the nation in scoring, averaging 84.3 points per game. Creighton likes the three-pointer, having made 334 of them and shooting 38 percent from behind the arc.

Marcus Foster is averaging 20.3 points per game. He has made 94 three-pointers, shooting 43 percent. Khryi Thomas has made 83 long shots and is shooting 42 percent from there. He is shooting 51 percent inside the arc. Martin Krampelj is averaging 11.9 points and 8.1 rebounds. He is shooting 64 percent from the field. The team is shooting 49 percent on two-point shots.

Big injury concern for Kansas State as their best two players Wade and Brown missed most of last game - but both look to be good to go for this one. If healthy we love this gritty K State team to beat an over rated Creighton team. Final Score Prediction, Kansas State Wildcats win and cover ATS 73-71.
